Our verdict on Screambox
Screambox is a horror-focused streaming service for genre fans and cinephiles who want a catalog centered on the genre rather than a broad mix of entertainment. Its collection includes over 1,000 films spanning slashers, supernatural, psychological, cult and international horror, as well as documentaries and classics. The service also offers originals, exclusive movies and streaming premieres. A free Live TV channel provides an entry point, while Premium subscriptions open the full library.
The catalog is the main reason to choose Screambox: its genre curation combines independent and international films with familiar horror categories, originals and exclusives. Personal watchlists let subscribers save titles. Premium Monthly costs $6.99 per month; Premium Yearly costs $59.99 per year. Both plans provide full-library access, limited commercial interruption, and original and exclusive movies and shows. The monthly plan suits viewers who prefer monthly billing, while the annual option has a lower listed price over a year. Premium is not an ad-free tier, so viewers who require uninterrupted playback should weigh that trade-off.
Screambox streams on web, iOS and Android, plus smart-TV and connected-TV devices including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, LG, Samsung, Vizio and Android TV. Content and device availability can vary by region, and the service is currently available to residents of the United States and Canada. Choose it if horror is a regular viewing preference and a specialist catalog is more useful than broad genre coverage. Viewers seeking a general-purpose service, or a full library without commercial interruption, should look elsewhere.
