Scoold is a Q&A and knowledge-sharing platform for teams, organizations, support communities, and customer-facing forums. Its Stack Overflow-style format includes questions and answers, voting, reputation, badges, revision history, Markdown editing, full-text search, similar-post suggestions, spaces, private groups, notifications, and moderation controls. It runs on the web, supports REST APIs and signed webhooks, and is available as open-source self-hosted software or a managed cloud service. It suits organizations that want control over deployment, branding, authentication, and community structure.
Pricing spans several deployment models. The free Scoold plan provides open-source self-hosting, unlimited users, a Q&A platform, and a REST API. Scoold Pro costs €499 one-time per instance and adds SAML 2.0 SSO, SCIM provisioning, file uploads, integrations with Slack, Mattermost, and Microsoft Teams, plus unlimited spaces and admins. Pro + Source costs €1,999 one-time per instance and adds full source code access, custom features, and architecture consulting. Managed hosting starts at €49 per server per month for a Small Instance or €99 for a Large Instance; hosted Para storage is listed separately at €25 per app per month unless an existing Para app is used.
Scoold has a broad integration and authentication profile for an open-source community product. LDAP, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and SCIM support can fit teams with established identity systems, while Slack, Mattermost, Microsoft Teams, Zapier, and n8n extend community workflows. Custom branding, themes, domains, backup and restore, encryption at rest, and web administration support controlled deployments. However, the product does not include AI features, and its listed capabilities focus on Q&A rather than analytics. Choose Scoold for customizable, self-hosted knowledge communities; consider another platform if built-in analytics or AI assistance is central to the buying decision.
