SaveSync is desktop software for sharing and synchronizing co-op game saves between friends. It stores selected saves on Steam Workshop, supports cross-user synchronization, transfers hosting between players, and keeps a complete history for reverting to earlier versions. The software supports Windows and Linux through Proton and integrates with Steam Cloud, making it suited to groups whose co-op progress is tied to Steam. It is distributed through Steam as a one-time purchase and does not offer a free plan.

Its strongest area is save control. Encrypted, private-by-default Steam Workshop storage gives groups a shared location for selected saves, while activation and deactivation controls help manage which save is active. Automatic host transfer supports changes in who is hosting, and complete save history provides a way to return to previous versions. Steam Cloud compatibility adds fit for players already using Steam's cloud-save system. These features make SaveSync more focused than a general backup utility: its purpose is shared co-op continuity rather than broad file management.

Connectivity beyond Steam depends on the supported game and sync mode. LAN synchronization is available for selected games, while WAN synchronization is experimental for some supported titles, so groups should confirm that their games fit the applicable support before relying on those options. SaveSync is a good choice for Steam-based co-op groups that want shared saves, host transfer, and version recovery in one desktop product. It is less suitable for users seeking a free tool, a mature release outside Early Access, or broadly available LAN and WAN synchronization across games.
