RTG Bills is legal timekeeping and billing software for attorneys, sole practitioners, and small to medium-sized law firms. It covers billable time with multiple rates, expenses, fixed fees, split bills, contingent fees, trust accounting, taxes, late charges, payments, and PDF bill delivery. The product is available as a browser-based service and a Windows desktop system, with access across web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android listed for the product overall.
Pricing depends on the edition. RTG Bills Online costs $15.95 per user per month with monthly billing, according to the published pricing information. It includes RTG Timer Online, RTG Conflicts Online, mobile and tablet access, browser-based timekeeping and billing, concurrent users, mobile time entry, and emailed PDF bills. RTG Bills for PC costs $95 as a one-time annual price and provides a Windows desktop billing system, network sharing, and up to 99 timekeepers at no additional cost. The two editions therefore suit different operating preferences and billing arrangements.
For core legal billing, RTG Bills has a broad feature set: attorney stopwatch and online time entry, multiple billing rates, expense billing, trust accounting, client payment recording and allocation, bill printing and email delivery, matter aging, ledger, fee, and unbilled reports, plus LEDES and other electronic billing formats through RTG E-Bills. Listed integrations include RTG E-Bills, Amicus Attorney, Microsoft Outlook, and Time Matters. Firms that need straightforward time, billing, trust, and reporting workflows at a low monthly price should consider it. Firms prioritizing a wider integration ecosystem or more extensive client-facing payment capabilities should compare alternatives.
