RotaCloud is cloud-based workforce management software for growing businesses and shift-based teams. It brings rota planning, employee availability, annual-leave management, open shifts, shift swaps, time and attendance, reporting, payroll exports and mobile access into one product. Managers can create schedules, communicate changes, monitor labour costs and process leave requests, while employees can view shifts, submit availability, request time off, claim open shifts and arrange swaps. It is aimed at small teams that need straightforward rota administration across web, iOS and Android.
The published plans show a simple two-tier structure. Standard costs £10 per month for 1-5 employees and includes drag-and-drop rota planning, templates, copying tools, holiday management, TOIL tracking, availability patterns, shift swapping and free mobile apps. Pro costs £15 per month and adds bulk shift actions, labour forecasting, budget caps, document storage and leave request rules. Both plans support the core scheduling workflow, while Pro is the more suitable choice for teams that need additional labour and leave controls. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan.
RotaCloud’s strongest fit is a small, shift-based operation that values accessible scheduling and employee participation. Open-shift publishing, claiming, swaps and mobile clocking can keep schedule changes within the same workflow, while automatic timesheets, payroll export and labour-cost reporting extend the product beyond rota creation. Calendar and HR integrations support broader workplace processes. However, the Standard employee limit narrows its suitability for larger teams, and the product does not list auto-scheduling. Choose RotaCloud for practical rota management with attendance and payroll features; consider an alternative if automated schedule generation is central to your requirements.
