Roster is a paid partner-marketing platform for direct-to-consumer and ecommerce brands. It combines trackable partner referrals and discount codes with configurable commission rules, tiers, individual overrides, recruitment forms, social listening, and automated payouts. Its broader focus suits teams managing affiliates, ambassadors, creators, and user-generated content from one system rather than brands seeking only basic referral attribution.

Its ecommerce and social ecosystem is a central part of the product. Roster integrates with Shopify, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Klaviyo, PayPal, Venmo, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X/Twitter. Shopify product seeding and REST API and webhook access support both standard commerce workflows and custom implementations. A partner portal gives participants access to balances and payment history, while campaign actions, points, and milestones provide structure for ongoing ambassador programs.

Roster is strongest when a brand needs more than referral tracking: UGC collection, usage-rights management, product seeding, recruitment, payouts, and partner-facing tools are all part of the scope. The tradeoff is breadth with a clear ecommerce orientation. Brands wanting a lightweight referral tool, built-in AI features, or access to an external affiliate network should consider a narrower or different product. Brands prepared to operate their own ambassador and creator programs should find the feature mix more relevant.

Roster pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Combines partner tracking with ambassador campaigns, milestones, and points
    • Collects UGC and manages usage rights alongside product seeding
    • Supports automated payouts, partner portals, APIs, and major commerce integrations
  • Where it doesn't
    • Paid product with no free plan
    • No AI features
    • Built for brands running their own programs, not affiliate-network access
