Rossum AP Automation review
A broad AP automation platform for complex invoice controls, matching, and approvals.

Rossum AP Automation is a cloud-native platform for automating invoices and other transactional-document workflows. It is designed for enterprise finance, procurement, and accounts-payable teams handling complex, high-volume documents across multiple formats and languages. The platform uses AI for invoice data capture and extraction, then supports validation, master-data matching, purchase-order matching, approval routing, GL and tax coding, duplicate detection, fraud detection, archiving, search, audit logs, and reporting.
The product is paid and offers a 14-day trial rather than an unlimited $0 plan. Its published plans are Starter, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate. Starter pricing is listed separately, while Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate require a quote. The plan structure gives larger organizations a path to a tailored deployment, but buyers comparing predictable self-service pricing should account for the quote-based approach. Rossum was acquired by Coupa in May 2026, adding context for organizations already working within that ecosystem.
Integration breadth is a central strength. Rossum AP Automation supports web and API access, ERP and procure-to-pay integrations, and connections with SAP, Coupa, Oracle, Workday, QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics. Its ingestion options and two-way and three-way purchase-order matching suit teams that need structured controls across varied document channels. Large AP organizations should consider it when fraud detection, audit logs, approval workflows, and broad system connectivity are priorities. Smaller teams or buyers seeking a free plan and simpler invoice processing may prefer a narrower product.
