Rootstock ERP is a cloud enterprise resource planning system for manufacturers, distributors, and other product-centric companies. Built natively on Salesforce, it connects sales, order management, procurement, inventory, production, financials, analytics, and service workflows through a shared data model. Its manufacturing coverage includes make-to-stock, make-to-order, configure-to-order, and engineer-to-order operations, making it a fit for organizations that need financial and operational processes in one system. Manufacturers already using Salesforce are the clearest audience, while teams seeking a narrower tool may find its scope broader than necessary.
The functional depth is centered on manufacturing and multi-entity operations. Rootstock includes bills of materials, routings, engineering change control, MRP, capacity planning, work orders, shop-floor control, quality management, and traceability. Inventory can be tracked across sites, locations, lots, serial numbers, and projects. The financial layer includes general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, budgeting, banking, revenue recognition, reporting, and intercompany transactions. Sales and procurement workflows extend from quotes, orders, pricing configuration, and returns to requisitions, purchasing, receiving, RFQs, and supplier collaboration.
Salesforce is the defining ecosystem fit, with additional integrations for Slack, Microsoft Teams, Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude. AI agents support ERP data queries, recommendations, dashboards, and workflow actions. Pricing uses a contact-sales model, with demos and pricing handled by the Rootstock team rather than a published numeric subscription structure. Choose Rootstock when Salesforce alignment, manufacturing control, traceability, and multi-entity finance are priorities. Consider a more focused alternative if you need a simpler system or an open-source deployment.
