Replit is a cloud-based software creation platform for building, testing, collaborating on, and publishing applications. Replit Agent supports AI-assisted code and application generation from natural-language descriptions, while the browser-based workspace brings development, collaboration, deployment, and publishing together. It is suited to individual creators, professional builders, teams, and enterprise organizations that want app creation with built-in database, authentication, hosting, and monitoring services.

The freemium structure gives users a Starter plan with free daily usage, a built-in database, one live project, and one background task at a time. Replit Core costs $18 per month with annual billing and adds more free agent usage, Plan mode, unlimited workspaces, removal of the Made with Replit badge, and model credits. Replit Pro costs $90 per month with annual billing and adds more free agent usage, higher model credits, up to 15 collaborators, up to 50 viewers, and database rollback up to 28 days. Enterprise adds custom seat limits, SSO/SAML, advanced privacy controls, single-tenant environments, and static outbound IPs.

Its ecosystem covers GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, OpenAI, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Stripe, Databricks, and PostgreSQL, alongside third-party service integrations and connectors. Enterprise access controls and privacy controls extend the platform for organizational use. Replit is a strong fit for teams that value AI-assisted creation inside a shared browser workspace and want application services and deployment in the same environment. It is less suitable for buyers requiring a native desktop or mobile platform, or for Starter users who need multiple live projects or concurrent background tasks.
