redPIM review
A catalog-focused PIM for importing, improving and combining supplier product data.

Supplier catalogs often arrive in different formats and need cleanup before they can feed sales channels. redPIM is a cloud product information management system for technical distributors and wholesalers, with tools to import, optimize, combine and distribute product data. Its fit is clearest for small and mid-market teams consolidating supplier catalogs, particularly German-speaking technical-trade businesses. It also offers API access for teams that need to connect catalog work with other systems.
Catalog preparation is the product's main strength. redPIM imports BMEcat, Excel and CSV files as well as supplier API data, then supports bulk maintenance with around 200 ready-made macros. Users can test catalogs against named quality and target-system profiles, map product groups and classify products with eClass. It can combine source catalogs into assortments for different channels and export BMEcat or target-system data. AI-assisted product-data tasks use Claude. ETIM and proficlass support are described as in preparation, while eClass is stated to be productive, so teams that require the former classifications should account for that status.
For system fit, redPIM provides a REST API, an OpenAPI specification and an MCP server, along with a fingerprint-based product-data synchronization connector. Named integrations include Claude, ChatGPT, Shopware, Smartstore, SAP Ariba and Mercateo. According to the vendor's description, exports can support shops, marketplaces, procurement systems and print. The vendor offers a guided, no-cost test for up to three months, with the duration agreed during consultation; pricing is handled through sales. Choose redPIM when supplier catalog transformation, quality checks and channel assortments are the core need. Teams seeking a wider PIM emphasis on digital assets or workflow approval may prefer to assess alternatives.
