RDM Studio review
A broad digital signage platform with strong diagnostics and offline playback, but limited role depth.

RDM Studio is Regency Digital Media’s cloud-based digital signage platform for creating content, building playlists, scheduling campaigns, publishing to displays, and managing screen networks. It supports individual screens through multi-location deployments, making it a fit for teams that need centralized control across varied environments. Content support includes images, videos, text, and shapes, while reusable design elements, templates, and drag-and-drop creation support everyday content production.
The three paid tiers add capability progressively. Essential includes unlimited content upload, basic time-and-day scheduling, image and video support, remote screen control, template access, and standard analytics. Pro adds advanced daypart and event-based scheduling, synchronized multi-screen playlists, user management and roles, a drag-and-drop editor, RSS, weather, and clock integrations, plus proof-of-play reporting. Ultimate is aimed at larger or more distributed operations, with a centralized cross-site dashboard, API and third-party integrations, real-time alerts, remote diagnostics, geo-based targeting, advanced reports, a dedicated account manager, and SLA support.
Platform coverage is a notable strength: RDM Studio supports web, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android, with integrations for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Google Drive, RSS, weather, and clocks. Offline-resilient playback and cached content synchronization help screens continue displaying content when connectivity is interrupted. Remote pairing, grouping, restart, reboot, screenshots, and cache clearing add practical operational controls. However, the platform’s basic role structure may not suit organizations needing more granular permissions, and its positioning does not include AI capabilities. Teams seeking broad device coverage, diagnostics, and operational reporting should consider RDM Studio; buyers prioritizing deeper governance or AI features should look elsewhere.
