Raivo OTP review
A focused, free OTP app for iOS and macOS with encrypted sync and exports.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Raivo OTP is a free, open-source authenticator for iPhone and iPad, with a companion macOS application. It is designed for Apple users who need time-based or counter-based one-time passwords for multifactor authentication. Accounts can be added by scanning QR codes or entering them manually, while search, custom issuer icons, and displays of current and previous codes help organize stored credentials.
For data portability and device continuity, Raivo OTP supports encrypted iCloud synchronization and encrypted ZIP exports. Those archives can also be imported back into the app, providing a defined route for transferring OTP accounts. Device protection includes Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode unlocking. The macOS companion app can receive selected OTPs from the iOS app and copy them to the Mac clipboard, with Apple Push Notification Service listed among its integrations.
Raivo OTP is a focused choice for users who want an Apple-native OTP tool without a paid plan and who value open-source software, encrypted exports, and iCloud-based synchronization. Its boundaries are equally clear: the application is available only on iOS and macOS, with no Windows or Android support. Users who need broader platform coverage should choose an authenticator available across those operating systems instead. For Apple users whose needs center on TOTP and HOTP accounts, Raivo OTP combines setup flexibility, protected account handling, and a narrow feature focus.
