Our verdict on Quizly
Quizly turns uploaded course materials into AI-generated quizzes, flashcards, structured study sheets, podcasts and interactive mind maps. It supports PDF, Word, PowerPoint and plain-text materials, making it suited to students who want to convert existing class content into several review formats. Its Qwi AI tutor provides contextual explanations, while spaced repetition, adaptive difficulty and performance-based planning support ongoing revision. Quizly is available through the web and as an iPhone app.
Pricing is straightforward for individual learners. The Free plan costs €0 forever and provides limited use of Quizly. Premium starts at €2.91 per month when billed annually and adds unlimited quizzes, cards, flashcards and podcasts, unlimited QwiMaps, realistic exam mode, and AI Premium with improved generation. A seven-day free trial is also available. Quizly Academy is a separate plan for school use, with school mode, student sharing, results tracking, a class dashboard and dedicated support. That structure makes Premium the relevant option for independent learners, while Academy is aimed at organized classroom programs.
The standout strength is breadth within a study workflow: one set of uploaded materials can support testing, spaced-repetition review, summaries, audio learning and visual mapping. Source-linked corrections and highlighted source passages add useful context when reviewing answers. The trade-off is platform coverage, with Quizly offered on web and iOS. Students who want a focused way to generate and review material at a low annual-equivalent price should consider it, especially if those platforms fit their routine. Learners needing broader device coverage or a simpler tool centered on one study format may prefer an alternative.
