Qrafter combines a QR code and barcode scanner with code creation and history management for Apple users. It supports QR, Micro QR, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417, and other barcode formats, and can scan codes from photos or handle multiple codes in one session. Its offline capability and batch inventory mode make it relevant to people who need scanning away from a network or want to send inventory scans to a custom API endpoint. The fit is narrower for teams that need other platforms or a ready-made inventory integration.

Scanning is only part of the app's scope. Qrafter parses content such as URLs, contacts, events, locations, email, SMS, and Wi-Fi details, and checks the destination of shortened URLs before opening them. Users can create QR codes with custom colors, logos, and styles, as well as password protection and compression. Scan history and generated codes can be organized in folders and synced through iCloud; scan history can also be protected with Face ID or Touch ID. These tools suit users who want scanning, code creation, and personal record-keeping in one Apple-focused app, rather than a scanner alone.
