PTAssembler is Windows desktop software for stitching digital images into single- or multi-row panoramas and high-resolution mosaics. It is aimed at photographers who want both automated panorama creation and detailed manual control. The Auto-create workflow handles automatic creation, while users can create, edit, move, and delete control points manually. The software also supports wide panoramas, exposure- and focus-blended panoramas, multiple standard and specialized projection formats, and correction for exposure, white balance, and vignetting.
The paid product includes a 30-day unrestricted period and does not offer a free plan. Its workflow depth is the main reason to consider it: projects can be processed in batches, and output can be saved as JPEG, TIFF, PSD, PSB, or layered files. EXIF data can be read from JPEG and TIFF files, which supports image organization during stitching. These options suit photographers working across varied panorama projects, especially when manual alignment, blending control, or layered editing matters more than a minimal workflow.
PTAssembler also fits users who want plugin-based image blending. Supported options include TuFuse, Enfuse, CombineZM, Enblend, Smartblend, Multiblend, Panomatic, Autopano, and Autopano-SIFT. The trade-off is a narrow platform and file-format scope: it runs on Windows and does not support raw files. The listed version is 6.3.0, updated July 2017.
