Psono review
A flexible open-source vault for teams that need sharing, passkeys, and hosting control.

Psono is an open-source password manager for organizations and teams that need to store and share more than passwords. Its encrypted vaults support passwords, secure notes, bookmarks, files, SSH keys, passkeys, and other secrets. Users can share entries with individuals or groups, including time-limited links for external recipients. Psono is available through web, desktop, mobile, browser extension, API, and self-hosted deployments, making it a fit for open-source teams that want broad platform coverage and control over deployment.
Pricing is straightforward across two plans. The Free plan costs €0 and supports up to 10 users. The Business plan costs €2.50 per user per month, is intended for teams of at least 25 users, and adds support and additional features. Both the low entry price and self-hosted option suit organizations managing costs or deployment preferences, while the gap between 10 and 25 users makes the plan structure less suitable for teams in that range. Administrative capabilities include role-based controls, audit reporting, breach detection, and security reports.
Psono’s feature depth is strongest in secure team sharing and identity integration. Client-side vault encryption protects data before it is sent to the server, while offline vault access supports use without a continuous connection. Browser extensions provide autofill, capture, passkey storage and use, and password generation. LDAP, SAML, OIDC, Duo, Google Authenticator, YubiKey, and WebAuthn integrations extend its fit for managed organizational environments. Choose Psono if open source, self-hosting, and team sharing are priorities; consider another password manager if you need a plan between 10 and 25 users or do not want passkey workflows centered on browser extensions.
