Our verdict on Proximus Mail
Proximus Mail is a free personal email service from Belgian telecommunications provider Proximus. It is designed for people who want a straightforward mailbox with substantial storage, multiple addresses, and access across web and mobile. Personal customers can use Proximus, Skynet, or Belgacom email addresses, receive up to six personal mailboxes, and create up to five aliases for each mailbox. The service also supports combining other email accounts in one interface, which suits individuals and small households managing more than one inbox.
The free offering covers the core needs without a paid tier to compare. Each personal mailbox includes 50 GB of storage, while mobile apps support reading, sending, receiving, and push notifications. Standard email-client support through IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 adds flexibility for desktop and third-party mail applications. Everyday controls include spam filtering, antivirus protection, forwarding, filters, signatures, and out-of-office replies. Support is available through email, chat, phone, and documentation, giving users several ways to get help with account or configuration questions.
Proximus Mail’s main strength is breadth within a simple personal-mailbox brief rather than a large ecosystem of integrations. Webmail, mobile access, aliases, mail rules, and standard protocols cover common personal workflows, but buyers seeking extensive app connections or a business-focused email environment should look elsewhere. Choose it if free access, 50 GB per mailbox, multiple mailboxes, and aliases matter most. It is less suitable for organizations that need a broader integration platform or more specialized business administration features.
