PropertyPA is a web-based platform for direct residential rentals in South Africa. It serves self-managing landlords and tenants, covering property listings, applications, identity verification, affordability and credit screening, leases, inspections, maintenance, messaging and document storage. Tenants can browse listings, create verified profiles, apply to properties and sign leases, while landlords can manage rental operations without PropertyPA acting as an estate agent or payment intermediary.
The pricing structure separates access for tenants and landlords. The Free plan costs ZAR 0 and includes property listings, applications, viewing scheduling and messaging. TenantPRO costs ZAR 99 one-time and adds verified ID and bank account confirmation, affordability checks, a TransUnion credit report, profile sharing and unlimited applications while active. LandlordPRO costs ZAR 295 per property per month and adds lease agreements, legal documents, electronic signatures, secure storage, financial tracking and analysis, inspections, maintenance, messaging and consolidated applicant screening results.
PropertyPA’s main strength is breadth for operators managing residential rentals themselves: its feature set extends from listing and screening through lease signing, rent ledgers, payment references, deposits, expenses, inspections and maintenance requests. The platform also supports photo evidence and tenant-landlord messaging. Rent and deposits flow directly between the parties, while PropertyPA provides payment references and reconciliation tooling rather than holding, routing or controlling rental money. Operators seeking a direct rental workflow and broad property administration tools should find the fit strongest. Those requiring verified online rent collection, payment intermediation or access beyond the web should choose another type of platform.
