Private.Ki Mail review
A focused choice for encrypted mail between Private.Ki users.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Private.Ki Mail is an encrypted email service for individuals who want message content, subjects and attachments protected on their devices. Mail exchanged between Private.Ki users is end-to-end encrypted, with on-device encryption and signature verification indicators. The service also includes encrypted attachments, configurable undo send, multiple signatures, recipient autocomplete and folders for inbox, sent, drafts, archive and trash. It is best suited to people who want straightforward private communication inside the Private.Ki ecosystem rather than a broad business email platform.
The published plans show a useful free tier. Free includes one @private.ki address, attachments up to 25 MB, signatures, recipient autocomplete, search across senders, subjects and addresses, and web access. The planned Plus tier is priced at $5 per month when paid annually and adds an own domain, up to 10 addresses and aliases, 50 GB of encrypted storage, and full encrypted mailbox export and backup. Because Plus is planned and not yet on sale, the current offering centers on the free plan.
Private.Ki Mail’s strongest focus is message privacy within its own user network. Users can export public keys and import external public keys, while messages to external recipients are encrypted when the recipient has a key. That makes key availability an important consideration for communication outside Private.Ki. Current access is through the web application, with iOS and Android listed as coming soon, and no integrations are provided in the published positioning. Choose it for simple encrypted mail, verification indicators and local search; choose another provider if you need a mature mobile experience, broad integrations or immediate paid-plan features.
