Prima.Law is a web-based legal case-management platform built primarily for immigration lawyers. It combines case records, document storage, client portals, task management, time tracking, billing, trust accounting, forms, and online payments. Firms can use PrimaPay for card and ACH transactions, payment links, recurring payments, payment plans, and automated payment records. The platform is also available through a Chrome extension, giving firms a browser-based environment for managing legal work and client transactions.
The published plans show a Core License starting at 49, with case management features, PrimaPay online payments, trust accounting, and integrated texting. The 15-day trial provides a way to evaluate the platform before subscribing. Optional add-ons target specific legal workflows: the US Immigration Add-On includes USCIS, CBP, and EOIR data tools, form autofilling for USCIS, EOIR, and DOL forms, and Visa Bulletin tracking. California and Michigan add-ons provide jurisdiction-specific forms, autofilling, and case templates. PrimaPay processing fees are separate from the Prima.Law subscription, so firms should account for both software and transaction costs.
Payment workflows are a central strength, with client portals, payment plans, recurring payments, card and ACH acceptance, payment links, transaction reporting, and exports. Trust accounting and reconciliation tools support firms handling separate trust and operating accounts. Prima.Law also connects with Clio, PracticePanther, Zapier, Twilio, Tawk.to, and Google Calendar. That breadth makes it suitable for firms that want payments embedded in a larger case-management system. Firms seeking a narrowly focused payment tool, rather than forms, billing, communications, and case management in one platform, may prefer a more specialized alternative.
