Our verdict on PrepScholar
PrepScholar offers online preparation for standardized exams including the SAT, ACT, PSAT, GRE, GMAT, and TOEFL. Its programs combine diagnostic assessments, study plans, interactive lessons, question banks, progress tracking, and full-length practice tests. Students can study independently or choose live instructional support, including classes and one-on-one tutoring. That breadth makes it relevant to learners preparing for several kinds of exams, while the adaptive GRE and SAT options are the clearest fit for students seeking structured self-study.
According to the vendor’s pricing page, GRE Adaptive Online Prep costs $38 one-time for one year of access. It includes more than 2,100 adaptive questions, 72 interactive and custom lessons, and two official practice tests. GRE Unlimited Lifetime Access costs $345 one-time and adds unlimited lifetime access and essay grading. Complete SAT Online Prep costs $397 one-time for one-year access, with a smart diagnostic test, a personalized weekly preparation plan, 4,700+ practice questions, and eight official College Board practice tests. A five-day trial is offered. Buyers should compare the shorter GRE option with the lifetime plan based on how long they expect to prepare and whether essay grading matters to them.
The study workflow is a central strength: diagnostics identify strengths and weaknesses, then adaptive or customized plans guide practice through lessons, quizzes, question explanations, and progress reports. Full-length official practice tests give students a way to work through exam-style material. PrepScholar is delivered through the vendor’s website and works on computers, tablets, and smartphones, rather than as a dedicated mobile app. AI Learning Assistant access is limited to selected SAT and ACT packages, so it should not be treated as a general feature across all programs. Choose PrepScholar for web-based structured prep and test-specific resources; consider alternatives if an app-first study experience is essential.
