Practa is a web-based legal practice management platform for law firms that want one system for matter and client management, intake, deadlines, documents, billing, communications, and trust accounting. Its scope also includes a branded client portal, conflict checking, role-based access control, AI-assisted document drafting, and vision OCR. Firms wanting low-cost modern controls may find the Professional tier especially relevant, while larger firms can consider the Enterprise plan.

Pricing is straightforward for Professional: $49 per user per month, billed monthly, with all features included. That plan also provides managed cloud hosting, IOLTA trust accounting, a client portal with two-factor authentication, and priority email support. Enterprise uses custom pricing and adds dedicated isolated infrastructure, white-label branding, SSO/SAML integration, custom integrations and API support, plus priority SLA and phone support. A 30-day trial is available, and the product is currently offered in early access.

Practa’s main strength is breadth within legal operations. Its feature set connects matter lifecycle management with client intake, calendar and statute-of-limitations tracking, document templates and auto-fill, multi-format export, time and expense tracking, invoicing, and three-way trust reconciliation. Communications and storage can connect through email, SMS, USPS mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, SMTP, and IMAP, while AI provider integrations include OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Groq, and Mistral. AI features use users’ own provider accounts. Firms that need mobile apps should look elsewhere; firms comfortable with web and API access and early-access software may find Practa a suitable fit.
