Power64 is a Commodore 64 emulator for Apple Macintosh computers using PowerPC or Intel processors. It is aimed at Mac users who want to run C64 software with emulated graphics, sound, storage devices, tape images, cartridge images, and input peripherals. The application also includes built-in C64 programs and demonstration games, making it suitable for people who want included content alongside support for their own software files.

Pricing is based on a one-time single-user registration. The standard registration costs $30 and removes the 10-minute session limit applied to unregistered copies. A second option, single-user registration via Kagi, costs $32 one-time, with a registration code that remains valid for future versions. The feature set covers disk-image formats including D64, X64, G41, D71, and D81, plus tape and Lynx images such as T64, TAP, and Lynx. CRT files support ROM cartridge loading, while ZIP, GZ, and LHA archives are supported for compatible C64 files.

Power64 goes beyond basic program launching with a built-in machine-code monitor/debugger, joystick, gamepad, and mouse emulation, plus RAM image loading and restoration. Its focus is narrow but substantial: Commodore 64 emulation on macOS and Classic Mac OS, rather than a broader multi-platform emulator ecosystem. The vendor documents Power64 4.9.5 as the latest release, and the download page was last changed in 2011. Choose it if Mac compatibility, format coverage, debugging, and bundled content matter most; choose an alternative if you need another operating system, open-source software, or netplay.
