Our verdict on Poster
Poster turns written briefs into poster concepts, then lets creators refine them in a web-based canvas editor. It is aimed at marketers, event organizers, educators, artists, and others who want to start with AI-generated visuals rather than a blank page. Users can enhance prompts, choose styles and formats, and edit text, fonts, colors, and positions. Uploads, shapes, QR codes, layers, and canvas resizing add further control; desktop has the full editing toolkit, while mobile supports lighter text and image edits.
The free plan is a way to explore the workflow, with 5 credits for new users, 1080p standard resolution, PNG and JPG downloads, and community support. Starter costs $9.90 per month and includes 200 credits, 4K downloads, PNG, JPG, and PDF formats, custom brand colors and fonts, and commercial usage rights. Pro costs $29.90 per month for 700 credits, plus 4K upscaling and a background-removal quota, team-ready workflow, API-ready content rights, and priority support. The published plans make the tradeoff clear: regular production, higher-resolution output, and commercial use sit in paid tiers.
Poster’s strength is its focused concept-to-editing flow: generate options from a brief, use style references or different poster formats, and adjust the result without leaving the editor. PNG export is available, and Starter adds PDF. It is a fit for individual creators who value rapid concept generation and flexible editing; teams may prefer Pro’s team-ready workflow. Choose another tool if mobile-first full editing or a broader asset workflow is central to the job: Poster’s full toolkit is desktop-focused, and the product description centers on generating and refining posters rather than a general design suite.
