Pokemon Game Editor (PGE) is a free desktop tool for editing Game Boy Advance Pokémon game data and graphics. Its editors cover Pokémon, attacks, abilities, items, trainers, starters, Pokédex order, TM/HM, egg moves, habitats, and trades. That makes it a focused option for solo ROM hackers working on Pokémon games, rather than a general-purpose editor for other titles or platforms.

The graphics and ROM tools extend beyond data fields: PGE can expand ROMs, import and export Pokémon sprite sheets, icons, and footprints, and export Pokémon cries. Editable per-ROM INI files let users manage offsets, while the program can launch up to 20 external programs. These features suit projects that need several Pokémon-specific editing tasks in one desktop tool. Linux is listed via Wine, but that route is untested; launching added programs is not implemented on Linux. Windows is the more suitable choice for users who need the full described platform behavior.

The project is described as legacy, and its repository was archived in 2023; support is unavailable. That matters for anyone who expects ongoing help or active development. Patch creation is not listed, so users who need that capability should look for another tool. Choose PGE if its Pokémon data and graphics editors match your ROM project and you are comfortable with a legacy tool; avoid it if you need vendor support, tested Linux use, or patch creation.
