Our verdict on Podimo
Podimo is a subscription-based listening service for podcasts and audiobooks, available on web, iOS, and Android. It suits listeners who want publicly available open-RSS podcasts alongside Podimo-exclusive podcasts, original shows, audiobooks, and video podcasts. Free listening covers publicly available podcasts, while paid plans add exclusive content, ad-free Podimo podcasts, and monthly audiobook allowances. Downloads support offline listening, and personalized recommendations and interactive community features add discovery and participation tools.
The pricing structure has two tiers with monthly and annual billing. Premium costs €4.99 per month or €49.99 per year and includes exclusive podcasts, ad-free Podimo podcasts, and 20 hours of audiobooks. Premium Plus costs €9.99 per month or €99.99 per year and increases the audiobook allowance to 100 hours, while retaining the same listed podcast benefits. A 30-day free trial is available, with payment details required for the trial on the Spanish Podimo site. Pricing, subscription types, trial availability, and content vary by country.
Platform coverage is broad for a listening app: Podimo provides mobile apps, a web player for computer listening, and support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sonos via AirPlay, and Chromecast. Offline episode and audiobook downloads are useful for listening away from a connection, while video playback expands the service beyond audio-only feeds. The main boundary is its lack of private-feed support, which makes it less suitable for listeners whose subscriptions depend on private podcast feeds. Choose Podimo for a mix of open-RSS listening, exclusive shows, and bundled audiobook access; choose another app if private feeds are essential.
