Our verdict on Planet eStream

Planet eStream is an education-focused video platform for recording, live streaming, archiving and delivering lectures, lessons, room activity and events. It is designed for education organisations that need more than basic camera capture, with support for autonomous camera and encoder workflows, centralized scheduling, automatic transcription, subtitles, secure delivery across devices and remote-viewer chat. The hybrid deployment model spans web, Windows, iOS and self-hosted environments. Uniguest currently presents Planet eStream within its Hub Media platform, formerly known as eStream.

Pricing follows a contact-sales model rather than published self-serve tiers. The product’s value is therefore tied to the scale and shape of an institution’s capture program, including its need for multi-source audio and video, live delivery, media libraries, editing, chapters and interactive quizzes.
