Place & Play CMS is Visionect’s browser-based digital signage platform for organizations managing e-paper, LCD, and LED displays. It is aimed at offices, hospitality venues, retail environments, public spaces, and other indoor locations that need centralized control of connected screens. The platform covers playlist creation and publishing, scheduled content, remote updates, device grouping, user groups, and monitoring. Web, iOS, and Android access support mobile-managed operations, while the Signage license combines device management with content delivery and management.

The strongest fit is its operational control for distributed displays. Administrators can schedule content by date, time, and recurrence, publish remote updates, and organize players and devices into groups. Device status, live view, orientation, performance analytics, battery monitoring, and Wi-Fi monitoring provide visibility into the display estate. The platform also supports web URLs, dynamic content, image galleries, and playlists, along with Microsoft Power BI, WordPress, custom dashboards, and third-party CMS platforms. These capabilities make it suitable for teams that need recurring communications or dashboards without requiring a broad creative production system.

Pricing is structured around the Signage, Cloud, and Essential plans. Signage includes the cloud-hosted Place & Play CMS, device management, and content delivery and management. Cloud adds managed hosting, the Visionect Software Suite, and support coverage, while Essential provides an on-premises Visionect Software Suite with support coverage. Each device requires a license, and one month of free Signage license is included with each purchased device. The service requires an internet connection and does not provide offline playback, so it is less suitable for unreliable networks. Basic user roles and narrow content support may also limit teams needing advanced permissions or broader media workflows.
