Pl3xMap is an open-source Minecraft server plugin and mod for interactive browser-based world maps. It is aimed at server administrators and communities that need navigable maps across multiple worlds and dimensions, including the Nether and End. The product supports CraftBukkit, Spigot, Paper, Purpur, and Fabric, and presents maps in a vanilla-style, top-down 2D format. A built-in web server exposes the maps through a configurable port, while an API provides an extension point for addons and integrations.
Its strongest fit is server communities that need more than a static map. Player markers update in real time and can show yaw, health, and armor information. Administrators can also create custom marker layers using icons, polygons, polylines, circles, ellipses, and rectangles. Multiple built-in renderers cover basic, night, biomes, inhabited, flowermap, and vanilla presentations, giving communities several ways to read the same world. The integration list includes VanishNoPacket, ChunkyBorder, HuskHomes, Pl3xMap-Extras, Pl3xMap-Claims, Pl3xMap-Banners, Pl3xMap-Signs, Pl3xMap-Mobs, DeathSpots, and Pl3xMap-SuperVanish.
Pl3xMap is less suited to people looking for a standalone viewer for saved maps or a three-dimensional exploration tool. Its capabilities center on live server maps, markers, dimensions, and addon-driven customization. Choose it when a Minecraft server needs a free, open-source mapping layer with broad marker support and configurable web delivery. Consider another option if the priority is offline viewing, a non-server workflow, or a view beyond top-down 2D maps.
