Ping is a business collaboration platform for teams that want to communicate through messages and channels while creating custom tools with AI. Users can describe workflows in plain language, and Ping can assemble CRMs, project workspaces, client portals, applicant trackers, ERPs, and content calendars. It is best suited to organizations building internal business workspaces without starting from a fixed application template.

Pricing is based on credits rather than a conventional per-user subscription. The Free plan includes starter credits, unlimited users, unlimited messages, and unlimited calls. Pro is priced at $500 in team credits and adds shared credits for workspace usage, with all workspace usage billed there. Growth is $1,500 in team credits and includes a 10% better rate, while Scale is $5,000 in team credits with a 20% better rate. Enterprise offers custom pricing and terms, dedicated deployments, custom integrations, and FDE Development. The credit model gives larger teams graduated purchasing options, but makes costs dependent on usage rather than a simple seat count.

Ping’s strongest fit is breadth: its generated workspaces can cover customer records, pipelines, activity logging, Kanban boards, roadmaps, sprint planning, client approvals, invoices, and reporting. Integrations include Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, Slack, GitHub, Linear, Notion, HubSpot, Salesforce, Jira, Airtable, Asana, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Intercom, and Zapier. OAuth, REST, GraphQL, ODBC, and browser-based connectivity extend its ecosystem fit, while resource-level permissions and action approvals support controlled automation. Choose Ping when a web-based, AI-generated workspace can replace several narrowly focused tools; choose an alternative when predictable per-user pricing is the priority.

Ping pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Generates CRMs, project areas, portals, and other custom tools
    • Connects with Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, Jira, Notion, and Zapier
    • Includes permissions, credential controls, approvals, and scoped autonomy
  • Where it doesn't
    • Credit-based pricing is harder to compare than per-user plans
    • Paid tiers require team credit purchases for workspace usage
    • The platform is available through the web
