PII Tools is software for discovering, analyzing, and remediating personal and sensitive data across corporate files, emails, databases, endpoints, and cloud storage. It is aimed at information-security, legal, privacy, compliance, MSP, and forensic teams that need more than isolated document redaction. Automated detection covers PII, PCI, PHI, and custom sensitive data, while OCR supports scanned, rotated, and image-based documents. The product can redact files in place or produce downloadable redacted copies, quarantine originals before remediation, and classify documents by risk.
Its strongest fit is an organization-wide discovery and remediation program. Batch scans can cover folders, devices, databases, and cloud storage, with integrations for Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Salesforce, Google Drive, Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, operating-system file systems, and file shares. Audit logs record accessed-object locations and timestamps, while scheduled recurring scans support ongoing review. REST APIs extend scanning, analytics, reporting, and remediation into existing workflows.
Pricing reflects that wider scope. End-Business is $2,000 per month when billed annually and includes scanning, reporting and remediation, unlimited internal users and data, air-gapped operation on an own server, built-in AI detectors, and product support. Consultant adds multi-client scanning, a floating license with unlimited data, co-branded reports, and sales and product support. Enterprise adds custom data connectors, API integration, at-scale optimization, and premium support. Deployment can be locally deployed, with hosted-cloud and self-hosted choices available in the pricing configurator. PII Tools suits teams managing sensitive data across many systems; a focused redaction requirement may call for a simpler, lower-cost option.
