Pie Adblock review
A free blocker with strong YouTube coverage and a focused Apple-and-Chromium footprint.

Pie Adblock is a free browser extension for people who want to reduce common web advertising without creating an account for ad blocking. It covers banner ads, video pre-roll and mid-roll ads, pop-ups, streaming ads, trackers, and advertising that consumes significant resources. YouTube and Twitch blocking is a central strength, including ads on websites that embed YouTube videos. Desktop support includes Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, and Safari on macOS, while iPhone support is limited to Safari.
Its feature set goes beyond basic ad removal. Pie Adblock can block or close cookie-consent pop-ups, helping reduce interruptions on websites, and it supports allowlists for individual websites and YouTube or Twitch channels. The Free plan includes ad blocking, cookie pop-up suppression, pop-up blocking, and YouTube and Twitch ad blocking. There are no paid tiers described, and ad blocking works without an account. An account is needed for rewards-related features, which are separate from the core blocking function.
The main trade-off is platform coverage. Pie Adblock fits users on macOS, iOS, and Chromium-based desktop browsers, but Android users do not get a dedicated extension, and iPhone users are limited to Safari. Its practical focus is therefore narrower than a blocker designed for a wider range of browsers and devices. Choose Pie Adblock if free YouTube, Twitch, website, cookie-pop-up, and tracker blocking meet your needs across Apple or Chromium platforms. Choose an alternative if Android support or broader browser coverage is essential.
