Pickcel is a cloud-based digital signage platform for retailers, restaurants, offices, schools, healthcare organizations, and other multi-screen operators. It combines content creation through Artboard, media management, multi-zone compositions, scheduling, remote publishing, screen monitoring, analytics, and offline playback. Supported content includes images, videos, PDFs, documents, web content, URLs, RSS feeds, HTML widgets, dashboards, live streams, and apps. The platform runs across web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and self-hosted environments, with mobile management through Pickcel Go and API access on Business plans.

Pricing starts at $13.50 per screen per month with annual billing, compared with $15 per screen per month on Professional monthly billing. Professional includes core scheduling, more than 50 app integrations, templates, 3 GB of storage, and one admin user; annual billing includes a 10% saving. Business adds 4K support, multi-factor authentication, advanced analytics, dashboard integrations, up to five users, and 8 GB of storage. Enterprise adds on-premise deployment, custom integrations, priority support, custom screen attributes, unlimited storage, and support for more than 20 users. A 14-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan.

Its strongest fit is for organizations that need broad platform coverage and connections to operational systems. Integrations include Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, Jira, Salesforce, AWS CloudWatch, Zendesk, Trello, Sentry, Square, Shopify, Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Zoom. Role-based access controls, editable permissions, proof-of-play, uptime reporting, and remote monitoring support distributed screen operations. Offline playback adds resilience for assigned media, while on-premise deployment and custom integrations support enterprise environments. Smaller teams seeking a free option or only basic signage may find the paid, per-screen structure less suitable; Pickcel is better aligned with retail and enterprise deployments that can use its integrations and management features.

Pickcel pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Offline playback keeps assigned media available during connectivity loss.
    • Supports multi-zone layouts, detailed scheduling, monitoring, and proof-of-play.
    • Integrates with business tools including Power BI, Shopify, Salesforce, and Jira.
  • Where it doesn't
    • No free plan is available.
    • The lowest price requires annual billing.
    • Advanced Business and Enterprise features require higher-tier plans.
