PHP Point of Sale is a hosted, browser-based retail point-of-sale system for independent businesses and multi-location chains. It supports checkout, returns, exchanges, layaways, estimates, split payments, receipts, inventory, purchasing, customer management, employee permissions, payments, and reporting. The system runs on computers, tablets, and phones, with web, iOS, Android, and API access. It is suited to retailers that need store operations, employee controls, inventory visibility, and location-level management in one product.
Pricing is organized by location. Standard costs $54 USD per location per month with annual billing and includes core POS features, unlimited registers, and phone, appointment, and email support. Pro costs $79 USD per location per month with annual billing and adds POS Genie AI, custom label and receipt designers, and PrintNode integration. Enterprise starts at $499 USD per month with monthly billing and adds cloud or on-premise deployment, custom development and integrations, dedicated implementation assistance, and custom reporting. A 14-day trial is available, and every plan includes unlimited registers and employees.
Operational breadth is the main reason to consider PHP Point of Sale. Offline selling queues sales for synchronization when connectivity returns, while inventory tools cover stock levels, variations, barcodes, purchasing, transfers, and alerts. Employee accounts can include permissions, commissions, and location assignments. Hardware support includes receipt printers, cash drawers, scanners, scales, and customer displays. Shopify and WooCommerce synchronization, QuickBooks Online integration, payment processor integrations, and a REST API with webhooks extend the system beyond the register. Choose it if multi-location control and retail coverage matter; a single small store seeking a narrower, lower-commitment tool may find the per-location annual plan disproportionate.
