PerSight review
A desktop app for turning natural-language questions into reviewable SQL, charts and dashboards.

PerSight is a Windows and macOS desktop app for asking questions of existing databases in natural language. It generates read-only SQL, explains the query, and lets users review, edit, and rerun it before execution. That makes it a fit for solo users in operations, finance, data, or IT who want to explore database results without writing every query from scratch. It supports PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle; it is not a general-purpose analysis service for other data sources.
The workflow keeps query results on the user's computer, while the product says it sends only the question and database schema to its cloud service. Results appear in tables and five chart types, with automatic chart suggestions from bar, line, area, pie, and scatter options. Users can pin queries to dashboards as KPI cards, tables, or charts, and export results to XLSX. Query history is saved locally. These features make PerSight more than a natural-language SQL prompt, but its focus remains analysis of connected databases rather than a broad data integration ecosystem.
The Free plan includes 15 questions per month, one database connection, one device, and local query history. Pro costs €390 per year and adds 500 questions monthly, unlimited connections, three devices, and 10 schema scans per month. Duo is €690 annually for two accounts, team sharing, and 20 schema scans per month. Team lists four accounts and sharing, while Enterprise adds unlimited questions and devices plus priority support; prices for those tiers are not stated here. Consider PerSight if its supported databases and desktop workflow suit your needs. Look elsewhere if you need browser access or connections beyond those four database systems.
