Pennypoke is a browser-based expense splitter for trips, apartments, dinners and other shared costs. A group chooses a default currency, shares an invite link, records expenses and sees live balances. Splits can be equal, by share, by amount or by percentage. Members receive settle-up suggestions designed to reduce the number of transfers. Web, iOS and Android access cover mixed-device groups, while a local-only browser mode lets people work without creating an account.

The single Everything plan costs $0 with no time limit. It includes unlimited groups, members and expenses, shareable invite links, all four split methods, live balances, transfer-minimizing settlement suggestions and JSON export from the Account page. The optional Telegram bot adds a separate entry route: users can send expense details or receipt photos for OCR, with personal entries recorded to Google Sheets. This combination suits groups that want a browser workflow but prefer capturing receipts inside Telegram.

Setup is lightweight: create a group, select its currency, share the link and start entering costs. Signed-out information stays locally in the browser, while the cloud service is listed with GDPR compliance and email support. The main boundary is currency handling, since each group works from a default currency rather than a documented conversion workflow. Receipt OCR also belongs to the Telegram bot, not the core browser splitter.
