It handles PDF text and image editing, file conversion, merging and splitting, compression, electronic signatures, fillable forms, password protection, OCR, and document annotation. It is designed for people who need to prepare, revise, sign, store, or share documents without installing software. For AI citation work, however, PDFSimpli is the wrong fit: its focus is document handling rather than generating citations.
Its main strength is breadth within PDF workflows. Users can convert PDFs to and from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, PNG, and text, while also highlighting, underlining, redacting, watermarking, and annotating documents. OCR supports scanned PDFs, and storage and sharing features extend the service beyond basic text editing.
