PDF995 is Windows desktop software that creates PDF files through a virtual printer driver. It is designed for people and organizations that need to create PDFs from printable Windows applications, including Microsoft Office, while retaining options for network file saving, shared network printing, custom page sizes, and large-format output. The free version is fully functional and does not expire. Paid keys provide a one-time path to additional capabilities and remove the browser page shown by the free version.

The feature set extends beyond basic PDF printing when the companion products are included. PDF995-related tools can combine, append, delete, reorder, burst, and split PDF pages; convert PDFs to HTML, DOC, text, and image formats; and add bookmarks, links, stationery, stamps, and page numbering. Digital signatures and PDF encryption address document handling needs, while programmatic output naming and workflow integration support document-management and workflow systems. Integrations include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Citrix/Terminal Server, Acrobat Distiller, document management systems, and workflow systems. The published category specifications also list API access and inputs from PostScript, text, HTML, and XML through OmniFormat.

Pricing is structured around one-time keys. The PDF995 individual key costs $9.95 and removes the browser page while including email support. The $19.95 PDF995 Suite key includes PDF995, PDFEdit995, and Signature995, and the $29.95 Software995 Toolset key includes the suite and other Software995 products. Keys work with the current version and versions released within one year after purchase. PDF995 suits Windows users who prioritize a low upfront cost and broad document operations over cross-platform access. Organizations needing verified template data merging or bulk document generation should choose a product that specifically provides those functions.
