PawnSight is desktop software for independent pawnbrokers managing pawn and retail work. Its tools cover pawn, buy, sell, renewal and forfeiture transactions, inventory tracking and aging, sales, customer loan portals, digital pawn tickets, and compliance workflows. The local-first approach stores shop data on local machines and supports daily operations offline. It is aimed at shops that want transaction and inventory management alongside compliance functions, rather than a general retail system. The published platform availability is macOS, so shops relying on Windows should look elsewhere for now.

Compliance and local operation are central to the product’s fit. Automated workflows include police reporting, hold periods, ATF, IRS 8300, OFAC and state regulations. PawnSight also offers AI-assisted item pricing and customer scoring, plus tools to generate eBay listing details from intake photos. Online payments and a customer loan portal extend some customer activity beyond the counter, while QuickBooks CSV export and transaction categorization support bookkeeping. QuickBooks, eBay and Stripe are the listed integrations. Shops considering these features should check that the specific workflows and integrations match their procedures; the feature set is especially relevant where offline access and compliance automation matter.

According to the vendor’s pricing page, Starter costs $79 per month and includes core pawn, inventory, sales and compliance. Pro is $149 per month, adding AI pricing, SMS reminders, invoicing, layaway and online payments. Enterprise is $249 per month, with multi-location support, an AI counter assistant, pricing analyst and priority support. Max is $399 per month and includes all features, every integration and white-glove onboarding. There is no free plan. This tier structure gives buyers a clear progression, but shops should compare the paid additions with their needs before choosing. PawnSight is a stronger fit for Mac-based shops seeking local operation and broad pawn-specific workflows; it is not suited to teams that need an available Windows version.
