PartyTab review
A link-based tab splitter for groups that want fewer settlement transfers.

PartyTab is a browser-based bill-splitting service for trips, dinners, roommates and other groups. A host creates an expense tab, shares an invite link, records who paid and assigns costs to some or all participants. Guests can join, add expenses and confirm settlements without downloading an app or creating an account. The service calculates net balances and minimizes the number of transfers needed to settle.
The plan lineup follows a freemium model, with a free plan and a seven-day free trial. Guest participation covers joining tabs by invite link, adding expenses to shared tabs and viewing or confirming settlements. Basic is designed for hosting one tab at a time and adds even or custom split amounts, settlement tracking and synchronization across devices. Pro removes the active-tab limit and adds AI receipt parsing, claim mode for receipt items, payment reminders, email payment confirmations and priority support. This makes the higher tier relevant when a group handles several tabs or wants less manual receipt entry and follow-up.
PartyTab fits browser-led groups that want a shareable workflow and flexible participation. Manual expense entry supports custom participant splits, while settlement calculations can be paired with Venmo, Zelle or cash. Device synchronization helps hosts continue across devices, and guests can participate through the link without joining an account system. The trade-off is its web-only platform and email support, so groups wanting a native mobile experience or broader support channels should look elsewhere. Choose PartyTab for lightweight, link-based coordination; skip it if your group needs a dedicated mobile app or more extensive service infrastructure.
