P-STAT is EMA Solutions’ cloud-based power-market data and analytics platform for trading and planning in India. It is aimed at power traders, generators, renewable-energy developers, distribution companies and load dispatch centres, with a fit for mid-market and enterprise teams. The platform brings together demand, supply, fuel, generation, transmission and market-price data at 15-minute granularity, with web access and API access available on request. Its breadth makes it relevant to analysts who need to connect operational and market views rather than focus on a single asset or market segment.
Its market and grid coverage is a defining strength. P-STAT includes spot-market analytics for DAM, RTM, GDAM and HP-DAM, as well as forward-price curves and term-market analytics. Users can also examine state-level demand with machine-learning pattern recognition and weather intelligence, plant generation and outages, fuel costs, coal stocks, reservoir conditions, transmission corridor flows, inter-regional exchange and renewable generation. Real-time state and all-India supply-demand views include RTM participation and URS tracking. Customizable analytics add cross-filtering, drill-down and time- and segment-based slicers, while forecast-versus-actual tracking supports comparison of projections with outcomes.
The trade-off is that this is a specialized platform for Indian power-market and grid analysis, not a general energy analytics tool. Teams needing those linked market, plant, demand and transmission views may find its scope useful; organizations focused on other geographies or only one narrow analytics task may be better served by a more targeted alternative. Pricing uses a contact-sales model, so buyers should discuss commercial terms directly. The vendor describes API access as available on request, which is worth clarifying for teams planning integrations. P-STAT is deployed in the cloud, offers email support, and lists ISO 27001 and two-factor authentication.

- Where it doesn't
- Pricing requires contacting sales, which limits upfront cost comparison.
- API access is available on request rather than described as standard access.
