Orbit Radio is an Android internet radio player for listeners who want to find live broadcasts from around the world or add their own streams. Its directory covers more than 20,000 stations across 200+ countries, searchable by country, genre, language, station name, or popularity. Favorites and recently played stations help listeners return to broadcasts, while background playback and Android Auto support fit listening beyond the app screen. It is aimed at Android listeners rather than people looking for a radio service across multiple platforms.
The free plan includes global station search, live internet radio, favorites, recently played stations, a sleep timer, and custom streams. Supported formats include Icecast, Shoutcast, MP3, and AAC. The Pro in-app upgrade adds ad-free listening, unlimited custom stations, premium themes, advanced sleep fade-out, station folders, and favorite backup or export. These additions mainly extend organization and playback, so the free plan covers the core listening and discovery tasks; listeners deciding whether Pro is worthwhile should weigh those extras against its unpublished price and billing period.
Reliability features include station-status indicators, and the sleep timer offers fade-out options. Live broadcasts require an internet connection, and offline listening is not supported. That makes Orbit Radio a better fit for connected listening than for travel or situations where a network is unavailable. Android listeners who value station breadth, custom streams, and in-car playback have a focused option here; listeners who need iOS support or offline playback should look elsewhere.
