Oracle Visual Builder review
A capable Oracle-focused low-code platform for web applications, with usage-based pricing.

Oracle Visual Builder is a browser-based low-code platform for creating, hosting, and publishing responsive web applications and progressive web apps. It suits organizations extending Oracle Cloud Applications, as well as development teams building business applications around Oracle or external REST services. Visual design tools cover pages, UI components, and WYSIWYG interfaces, while HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS extensions provide a path beyond the visual layer. Embedded business objects and generated REST endpoints support application data needs within the same environment.
The published plans show two paid options: Pay as You Go, based on usage-based Oracle Cloud pricing, and Annual Commitment, based on annual commitment pricing. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. This structure may fit organizations already operating on Oracle Cloud or those that prefer consumption-based pricing, while teams seeking predictable per-user monthly pricing should assess the commercial model carefully. Cloud publishing and application staging support a managed delivery process from development through release.
Its strongest ecosystem fit is Oracle-centered development. Connections include Oracle Cloud Applications, Oracle Integration, Oracle SaaS REST services, and external REST services, giving teams flexibility when applications span Oracle and third-party systems. Role-based application and business-object security add control for business applications, and progressive web app support extends responsive web projects across devices. The main boundary is its web focus: newly created mobile applications are no longer supported, while existing mobile applications can be converted to web applications and deployed as PWAs. Choose Visual Builder for Oracle-connected web development; consider an alternative if native mobile creation or non-cloud deployment is central to the project.
