Oracle Aconex review
A broad project collaboration suite for teams managing complex construction delivery.

Oracle Aconex is a cloud-based construction and engineering project collaboration platform for owners, contractors, designers, suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors. It brings project documents, drawings, models, correspondence, workflows, RFIs, submittals, tenders, field activities, cost controls, and records into one system. Its scope spans design through construction, commissioning, handover, and closeout, making it a fit for organizations coordinating complex delivery across office and field teams.
The platform covers a wide set of project controls: document and drawing version management, formal correspondence, supplier documents, bid tracking, contracts, changes, costs, and payment processes. Field teams can access drawings, documents, mail, models, and inspections through iOS and Android apps; field workflows include inspections, ITPs, punchlists, safety activities, and daily reports. BIM model coordination and clash detection extend its remit beyond records and communication. Schedule integration is specifically with Oracle Primavera Cloud, while Aconex APIs are available for connecting with other software.
Oracle’s published approach to Aconex pricing is contact sales rather than standard public plan prices, so buyers should expect a sales conversation to understand the core service’s commercial terms. The mobile app is listed as free, but that is not the same as a free plan for the cloud platform. Aconex is most suited to organizations that need coordinated controls across many project functions and participant groups. Smaller teams seeking a narrowly focused tool may find its breadth unnecessary; prospective buyers should weigh that scope against their workflow needs before engaging Oracle.
