OptoDesk review
A cloud-based optometry platform pairing clinical records with optical inventory and reporting.

OptoDesk is cloud-based practice management software for optometrists, optical stores, eye clinics and vision centers. It brings together electronic medical records and clinical notes, patient and prescription records, appointment scheduling with SMS reminders, billing, insurance-claim tracking and optical inventory. Its fit is strongest for small and mid-market clinics that want clinical and retail operations in one system, particularly those managing more than one location or needing inventory reporting.
Inventory coverage is a notable part of the product: clinics can track frames, lenses and contact lenses, as well as suppliers, purchase orders and inventory reports. Barcode scanning, low-stock alerts and purchase orders support stock workflows, while reporting and analytics extend beyond inventory. The Growth plan adds advanced reporting, EHR, multi-location management, an AI assistant and an audit log. Basic is scoped to a single location and includes basic inventory, customer records and scheduling. This makes the choice between plans relevant to both clinic structure and reporting needs, rather than just feature count.
According to the vendor's pricing page, Basic and Growth are offered with monthly and annual options, but prices are not published; a one-time initiation fee is stated. The platform is cloud-deployed and listed for web, with cloud access described for computers, tablets and mobile devices. The vendor also states 24/7 support. Clinics seeking a combined inventory and multi-location system may find the feature mix relevant, while a single-location practice with simpler stock needs may prefer the narrower Basic scope. Buyers who require telehealth or a patient portal should assess alternatives, since those functions are not identified on the reviewed official pages.
