Opsgenie review
A feature-rich on-call platform with a free plan, but a stated 2027 end of support.

Opsgenie is an incident management platform for development, IT operations, and other technical teams. Its core offering combines recurring daily, weekly, and custom on-call rotations with escalation policies, routing rules, schedule overrides, forwarding rules, and multichannel notifications. Teams can manage incidents and post-incident analysis through web, iOS, Android, and API access. It is best suited to organizations that want detailed on-call coordination and established integrations, provided they are comfortable with the product’s announced support timeline.
Pricing spans a free option and three paid tiers. Free provides basic alerting and on-call management. Essentials costs $9.45 per user per month with annual billing or $11.55 with monthly billing, covering alerting and incident management. Standard costs $19.95 annually or $24.15 monthly per user and adds unlimited alerting and incident management. Enterprise costs $31.90 annually or $38.50 monthly per user, with advanced incident management plus enterprise collaboration and business visibility. The published plans make Opsgenie accessible for smaller teams while offering higher tiers for broader incident operations.
Its ecosystem is a major strength: integrations include Slack, Datadog, Jira, Amazon CloudWatch, Zendesk, Zapier, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, Splunk, and PagerDuty. On-call analytics and schedulable reports add operational visibility beyond basic scheduling. However, Atlassian ended new signups and sales on June 4, 2025, and states that existing customers can use Opsgenie until April 5, 2027, after which access will be shut off. Existing customers seeking a mature scheduling and alerting feature set may find it suitable during that period; new buyers should choose an actively available alternative instead.
