OpsFactor brings demand, supply, inventory, production, distribution, and financial planning into one environment. It is aimed at planning teams in growing companies and enterprise networks that need more than demand forecasting alone. The Community edition provides a free, self-hosted planning core with statistical demand forecasting, product and customer clustering, versioned Planning Books, demand scenarios, supply-network modeling, capacity planning, MPS/MRP, DRP, and inventory simulation. Its documented forecast granularity is SKU-location, with hierarchical forecasting and scenario planning included.

The main strength is breadth across connected planning workflows. Teams can move from demand scenarios into supply planning, model network and capacity constraints, and evaluate inventory policies and coverage. The Community plan also includes selected statistical models, cluster-level configuration, heuristic MPS/MRP, heuristic DRP, and data operations. Pro expands this with OpsFactor-hosted shared infrastructure, Advanced Demand Planning, optimized MPS/MRP, constraint analysis, Network Design, S&OE, Advanced DRP, Inventory Optimization, Cost-to-Serve, and Level 2 technical support. Enterprise adds shared or dedicated infrastructure, the native OpsFactor Planning Agent, MCP connectivity, Single Sign-On integration, and functional planning and modeling support.

Deployment and commercial structure will shape the buying decision. Community is self-hosted, so it suits organizations prepared to manage their own planning environment and seeking a broad starting point without a license charge. Pro and Enterprise provide hosted infrastructure options and add deeper optimization, support, connectivity, and modeling capabilities, but the published plans show quotation-based pricing rather than fixed rates. OpsFactor is a strong fit for teams seeking an open planning environment with supply depth, scenario analysis, and inventory planning. It is less suitable for buyers who want a simple demand-only tool, fixed public pricing, or a ready-made hosted experience at the entry tier.

OpsFactor pros and cons

    • Connects demand scenarios with network, capacity, MPS/MRP, and DRP planning
    • Adds inventory simulation, Cost-to-Serve, and P&L analysis
  • Where it doesn't
    • Community requires self-hosted deployment
    • Pro and Enterprise pricing is quotation-based
    • Advanced optimization and support require paid tiers
