Our verdict on Opiq
Opiq is a cloud-based learning environment for students, teachers, schools, parents, and private users. It combines curriculum-aligned digital textbooks and teacher books with assignments, automatically checked tasks, progress statistics, search, classroom diaries, and school administration. Teachers can organize study materials, assign work, review results, and use annotations, while schools can manage users, licenses, and diaries. Access is available through web, iOS, and Android, making Opiq a fit for schools seeking a managed digital textbook service across desktop and mobile devices.
Pricing is structured as a freemium subscription. The Free plan provides digital textbooks after account creation. Course Package costs €1 per student per month and includes selected textbooks plus one main teacher at no charge. Class Package costs €4.90 per student per month, adds curriculum textbooks, and includes three teacher licenses, with additional teachers available. Private User costs €6.90 per month for personal access to curriculum materials. Student 2026/27 costs €5.10 per month and includes primary and secondary curriculum materials, 452 study kits, and Estonian- and Russian-language materials. Teacher 2026/27 provides access to study kits and may include free teacher licenses with student access.
Opiq’s strongest area is the connection between content and classroom workflow. Teachers get diaries, assignments, automatic checking, progress tracking, highlighting, comments, chapter search, and read-aloud controls, while AI tools can shorten, simplify, outline, or expand text. The platform connects with eKool, Stuudium, and Foxcademy. Schools that need curriculum content, administrative controls, and learning support in one service should consider Opiq. It is less suited to organizations that require a wider integration ecosystem or textbook access beyond the selected package and available curriculum materials.
