Operato Retail combines cloud-based retail POS, inventory management and accounting for Indian shops, wholesalers and multi-outlet chains. Its feature set covers barcode billing, thermal or A4 printing, multiple payment methods, FIFO inventory valuation, batch and serial tracking, GST invoicing, stock transfers, outlet reporting and double-entry accounting. It is best suited to retailers that want operational billing and financial workflows in one web-based system, particularly businesses managing multiple outlets, warehouses or GST processes.
According to the vendor’s pricing page, Starter costs INR 6,999 per outlet per year and includes POS billing, basic inventory, GST invoicing and email support. Growth costs INR 12,999 per outlet per year and adds multi-location management, full accounting, GSTR-3B, E-Invoice, E-Way Bill and priority support. Business costs INR 24,999 per outlet per year, adding AI analytics and forecasting, advanced reporting, API access and an account manager. Enterprise includes unlimited outlets and users, custom integrations, dedicated onboarding and training, and priority SLA support. The published prices exclude 18% GST and are indicative pending demo confirmation.
The strongest case for Operato Retail is breadth across retail operations and accounting: automatic GL posting, bank reconciliation, consolidated reporting, role-based access and CSV bulk import sit alongside stock controls and compliance workflows. Integrations include Razorpay, BillDesk, Cashfree, NIC E-Invoice, E-Way Bill, GSTR-3B, SMS, SMTP Email and Push Notify. Retailers seeking demand forecasting and dynamic pricing recommendations need Business, while organizations requiring custom integrations or dedicated onboarding should consider Enterprise. Smaller businesses wanting a free plan, monthly billing or a non-web platform should look elsewhere.
