OpenTouch Fax Center review
A capable on-premises fax server for organizations built around OpenTouch infrastructure.

OpenTouch Fax Center is an on-premises fax-over-IP solution for enterprises moving fax workflows onto IP networks. It supports sending and receiving through secure web access, SMTP email systems, desktop applications using a virtual fax printer, and T.37-compatible multifunction printers. Organizations already using OpenTouch infrastructure are the clearest fit, particularly those that need centralized fax routing, searchable histories, and transaction auditing across business workflows.
The product connects with OpenTouch Multimedia Services, OpenTouch Business Edition, OmniPCX Enterprise, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, IBM Lotus Notes, SMTP mail servers, T.37 multifunction printers, and Active Directory. That gives it a practical place in environments combining telephony, email, directory services, and multifunction devices. Its on-premises deployment model and virtualization support for VMware and Hyper-V also suit organizations managing their own infrastructure. The published datasheet states support for up to 30 simultaneous fax channels.
Routing is a notable strength. Incoming faxes can be directed by DNIS, CSID, ANI, and DTMF to users, email, printers, or folders. Searchable inbound and outbound histories, event histories, and transaction audit logs support operational review and record management. SIP/T.38 and G.711 protocol support helps align the fax server with IP-based telephony environments. Pricing follows a contact-sales model, so buyers should evaluate the deployment, channel, integration, and infrastructure requirements directly. OpenTouch Fax Center should appeal to organizations that need controlled, auditable fax operations within an established Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise environment. Teams seeking a cloud-first service or a product centered on a different ecosystem should consider alternatives.
